In 2011 the new channel OWN was launched and after watching 3 documentaries on Shania Twain, Chaz Bono, and The Judds I wrote this song. I remember how each story moved me reminding me of my own story and family and thinking love shouldn't be so hard.

I wrote this song for those of us born under the astrological sign Virgo. Though I wrote it from my perspective as a woman, the traits and characteristics of Virgos are genderless.

I first began this song in 2015 and finished it in April 2023 for my Mom Joanne who is 89 years old.
