The Way We Were - Joanne Jones

Ragtime Cowboy Joe - Joanne, Karen & Robin

My Mom likes to tell the story how my sister Karen and I started singing at 3 and 5 years of age. Mom was doing the dishes and we were beside her as she sang "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" and to her amazement Karen started singing harmony, I started singing the lead and my Mom then harmonized below me.  In 2012 we visited my sister Karen, my nephew Brandon and her husband Buzz in Canada and Brandon recorded this video of us singing Ragtime Cowboy Joe in 3 part harmony as we did as just little girls with our mom.  By the way the only permission I received on that day was  a video of Mom's boots and our voices 😂

I'll Be Home For Christmas - Joanne Jones (My Mom)

Joanne Jones

In 2011 when my mom Joanne was 77 I recorded her at home singing this beautiful classic Christmas song. I backed her up and added a bit harmony towards the end. She is 88 now, soon to be 89 and I still hear that golden voice from time to time. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all ❤️

My Mom and her gift of voice and music.

Home recordings of my Mom in her late 70s with Richard playing the keyboard and me on guitar. A few recordings also from the 80s when Mom was performing with Buck Carney on guitar. You are a treasure Mom.
