A DIARY OF SONGS
It's the perfect time for me now that I am retired to go through my catalog of songs and share them here. I'll be remixing some and leaving others just as they are when originally recorded. I have been so very fortunate in my life since I was a young girl of 9 to have the gift of expression through lyrics and melody. Though my profession wasn't in music my heart has always been the author and creator of this diary of songs that has joined me on my life's journey. It has given me priceless and endless joy, hope, inspiration, a space for tears and pain, anger and rebellion, humor, hate and love. I can't think of a better way for me to communicate the full spectrum of emotion and it's healing power. I will be adding more songs of yesterday here as I listen and remember each one.
This song is a song of hope. I believe I wrote this around the year 2000 as I began to rebuild my life from a devastating 1998 and finally embrace sobriety a day at a time. I was full of hope and looking ahead.
I wrote and recorded this song in 2008. In May 2026 I remixed it and added Logic Pro bass and drums at the end. It has a 60s vibe to me.
